The September e-Learning workshop hosted by KCN was a repeat of the successful workshop that we ran in May earlier this year.
The one major change for this workshop was the focus on completing existing resources, and ensuring that resources are linked into the Curriculum Management System once they are finished. KCN and MCHS participants have already created a wide range of resources on a number of topics and it is important that the resources can be used by students in a manner that is easy for them to access.
Prof Dewhurst opened up the workshop with an overview of the project, highlighting the work that has been achieved so far and our aims for the remainder of the project.
We gave 2 new presentations to both groups of workshop participants. The first presentation was an introduction to the KCN CMS and how it will be used by staff and students. The second presentation aimed to take a fresh look at the purpose of creating e-Learning resources, and how staff should think about the needs of the students when authoring their materials.
