An important part of the projects has been to encourage people to look for exisiting materials that are already available to add to personal teaching materials before any new e-Learning materials are created.
e-Learning materials are incredibly time intensive to create, so if an opportunity to use existing materials is available then it should be taken.
OpenMed has been created to make it as easy as possible to find existing online medical materials that could be useful to support existing teaching. All of the resources in the OpenMed referatory are open-access and freely available for use.
